Can I use Cliovelle if I am still having periods and heavy bleeding at 47?

Hello. Can I take my doctor's prescribed cliovelle if I still had my period and heavy bleeding? I'm 47 years old. From the leaflet I conclude that this drug is prescribed to women who have not menstruated for a year.

The use of Cliovelle for women who still have regular periods or heavy bleeding may not be appropriate and requires consultation with a doctor.

Cliovelle is a hormonal medication intended for women who have experienced menopause and have not had a period for at least a year. Its purpose is to alleviate the symptoms of estrogen deficiency and prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.

Heavy bleeding may suggest problems that are worth diagnosing (e.g. uterine fibroids, polyps, hormonal disorders). The use of HRT in perimenopausal women may increase the risk of irregular bleeding, and in your case may exacerbate existing problems with heavy menstruation.

If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
