Klacid (clarithromycin) at a dose of 125 mg/5 ml is usually given at a dose of 7.5 mg/kg body weight twice a day. For a child weighing 35 kg, this is approximately 260 mg of clarithromycin per dose, equivalent to 10.5 ml of suspension. Therefore, a dose of 5 ml twice a day may be too low. It is worth consulting the dosage with a doctor to make sure that it is appropriate for the weight and condition of the child.
