Accidental ingestion of one tablet of bisoprolol (a drug used to treat high blood pressure and heart disease) usually does not cause serious side effects, especially if it is a one-time event.
Bisoprolol acts on the heart and blood pressure, so it can cause a decrease in heart rate, blood pressure, dizziness or weakness. Depending on the dose, the symptoms may be more pronounced. If you feel well and don't have any worrisome symptoms, don't worry, but if you experience symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, irregular heart rate, or shortness of breath, contact your doctor immediately.
