Can you give a 9-year-old child Toss Mai and Prospan at the same time?

Is it possible to give my son (9 years old) Toss Mai tablets and Prospan syrup together?

Toss Mai and Prospan act on different mechanisms – Toss Mai is a cough suppressant, and Prospan is an expectorant. They should not be given together, as one inhibits the cough reflex and the other promotes expectoration, which can lead to mucus retention. The choice of medication depends on the type of cough (dry or wet). Please consult your doctor to determine the best treatment for your child.
