The dose of Roswera is determined individually, depending on the patient's response to treatment and the indication, e.g. in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia, the initial dose is determined by blood cholesterol levels, risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, as well as the risk of side effects. On the other hand, in the treatment of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, the factors influencing the selection of the dose include the patient's age, body weight, and whether he or she has previously used statin drugs.
Both before and during treatment, the patient should follow a standard diet to lower blood cholesterol levels.
