If Advantan is applied to a small area of the skin, in small doses recommended by the manufacturer, it is absorbed into the general circulation to a very small extent and will not interact with other drugs used orally. It will also not increase the side effects of orally used steroids (e.g. Encorton).

According to the manufacturer of Advantan:

"In adult patients with psoriasis and atopy, the percutaneous absorption of methylprednisolone aceponate from ointment was approximately 2.5%."

Therefore, there is no risk of dangerous interaction in this case.
