Cordarone, which contains amiodarone, is a medication used to treat cardiac arrhythmias, but it can cause serious side effects, including muscle weakness and other neurological and cardiac symptoms.
Elderly patients, such as your dad, are at increased risk of side effects. If you have experienced symptoms of muscle weakness after the first dose, it is recommended that you contact your doctor immediately. Only a doctor can decide on further treatment and assess the risks associated with continuing to use Cordarone. Please do not discontinue the drug on your own.
