Diarrhea is one of the possible side effects of Mounjaro, especially at the beginning of treatment. If the symptoms are moderate and do not lead to dehydration, it is usually not a contraindication to the next dose. However, I encourage you to monitor your hydration status – plenty of fluids and electrolytes can help. If diarrhea is very severe, persists or is accompanied by other worrying symptoms, you should consult your doctor before taking the next dose.

I took Mounjaro for 8 weeks with no side effects apart from some nausea and flatulence. After 8 weeks I resumed a dose of 7.5 mg and the next day I had diarrhea, flatulence anus and mouth for a week, I stopped for a month and tried again with half a dose about 3.5 mg flatulence diarrhea for 8 days and I am still sick. I am sure I have neither bacteria nor pathologies such as irritable bowel.
Hello everyone
I am now at 5mg and have already had several injections. I can only say diarrhea and flatulence are part of it. It's a good thing with the syringe, but unfortunately not yet mature. My longest time was 3 weeks and with blood in my stool. A doctor couldn't even determine where the blood came from. I assume that you should pay proper attention to your diet. Greetings Matthias
I had 2 times all-night diarrhea after eating pizza. I think it was too fat and my body rejected it. This was both at a lower dose and at 15.
This is the most common side effect, although in clinical trials diarrhoea was almost as common in the placebo group (11.8% for those taking the 5 mg dose vs. 8.9% for placebo). This means that most cases of diarrhea are NOT really caused by taking this drug, especially in low doses. We don't know how it is with you, but it will be better if you stop treatment until the diarrhea subsides. You will not lose anything, because you are just starting treatment with the lowest dose, and it will be safer this way.
The drug should be taken 1 dose every 7 days. At first, side effects may appear. Most often, after the 2nd or 3rd dose, they disappear.
