Does shaving oil affect the effectiveness of birth control pills?
10.00 zł

Hello, can using Isana Nourishing Shower Oil in the shower affect the effectiveness of Liberella contraceptive pills? It contains eucalyptol and camphor. I use this oil when shaving and recently I cut my leg about 2 hours after swallowing a birth control pill

These types of agents have an external effect and do not affect the effectiveness of contraception in any way. Even if you got stuck and the oil came into contact with the blood - it does not affect the effect of the tablet. The drug goes into the gastrointestinal tract, then goes into the general circulation. Agents such as creams, oils, ointments do not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception. There is no need to worry. You can read about which drugs weaken the effectiveness of contraception here:
