Can I be pregnant if I took Daylette tablets that expired 2 months ago?
9.99 zł

Hello. I have been taking daylette contraceptive pills for 2 weeks after a six-month break. I've had spotting for a week now and then and from time to time I feel abdominal pain like during menstruation. I would like to add that never before has such a situation happened while taking pills.
For 1 week it turned out that I had been taking 2 months of expired pills. Is it normal? Is contraception preserved? I'm afraid because I ejaculated.

If you started taking the medication on the first day of your natural menstrual period, protection is maintained from the first pill, and symptoms such as abdominal pain or spotting are typical for the beginning of contraception and should not be alarming.

The fact that the medicine you were taking was expired may be worrying. Even if the pills were stored correctly and you started taking them on the first day of your period, your protection may have been reduced. The manufacturer does not guarantee the effectiveness of a drug that has been used after its expiry date.

It may be worth considering a pharmaceutical consultation at a pharmacy. More here:
