The use of Altacet gel consists in applying the gel to the swelling and then applying e.g. a compress, which will gradually dry (drying dressing). The compress ensures that the gel adheres to the swelling site for longer. Occlusive dressings should not be used.
For tablets, it is recommended to dissolve 1 tablet of Altacet in 50 ml of warm, boiled water. Subsequent wet compresses (immersed in the solution) should be applied every few hours.
