What can brown thick mucus mean after vomiting and diarrhoea when using Axia Conti?
9.99 zł

I take the Axia Conti contraceptive pill. 1.5 weeks ago I was sick and vomiting, probably it was a virus. A few days later I took the pill at 6 p.m. and less than an hour later I got diarrhea, it lasted several hours. I took the next pill the next day at 6 p.m. I haven't had intercourse for about 2 weeks, but for 3-4 days I noticed brown, thick mucus when wiping and on my underwear. What can this mean?

Brown thick mucus may be the result of hormonal changes caused by the use of birth control pills and episodes of vomiting and diarrhoea, which may have affected their absorption. Such mucus can indicate old blood, which is often normal in the menstrual cycle, especially in the case of irregularities associated with taking contraception. If symptoms persist or there are other worrying symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor for further evaluation of the situation.

If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
