Can you start using Nivalin with a dose of 5mg?
After sciatica, I feel numbness in my foot. My neurologist prescribed me Nivalin 5mg once a day for 20 days. The dosage information states that the dose is 2.5 in adults to begin with. Is it really right to start with 5 mg?

Dosage information for Nivalin:
"Individual dosing depending on the severity of symptoms and response to treatment. Adults. Initially 2.5 mg, then every 3–4 days, gradually increase the dose by 2.5 mg in 2–3 doses. Max. a single dose is 10 mg, a daily dose is 20 mg."
Your doctor may recommend a different dosage than described in the package leaflet. In such a situation, the drug should be taken strictly according to the prescription, and any doubts should be discussed directly with the doctor treating the patient.
