The maximum daily dose of Ketonal is 200 mg. Toxicity studies have been conducted in laboratory animals. Deaths have been reported with 18 mg of the active substance per kg body weight (rat).
Administering 27 tablets at the same time will certainly be associated with the occurrence of severe side effects that can ultimately lead to death. All animals that received doses well above the therapeutic value developed gastrointestinal ulceration.
