Polsart is a drug containing telmisartan, indicated, m.in, for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. According to the manufacturer's information, after the first dose of telmisartan, the hypotensive effect appears gradually over 3 hours. The maximum reduction in blood pressure is usually achieved after 4-8 weeks of therapy and is maintained throughout the treatment period. Side effects did not include headache or increased blood pressure.
If after 2 weeks you still do not feel the effects of the therapy and have the impression that the prescribed drug is not working well, you should consult a doctor. The results of blood pressure measurements should be regularly recorded in the diary and shown to the doctor during the visit, and any doubts about the therapy should be presented. If necessary, they will recommend a dose adjustment or a change to your current treatment.
