The concomitant use of Zolaxa (olanzapine) with Tetmodis (tetrabenazine) prolongs the QTc interval, which poses a high risk of serious cardiac arrhythmias.
In addition, their combined use may cause symptoms such as gait disturbances and muscle stiffness, muscle tremors, slowed movements, fever and mental disorders.
If the drugs have been prescribed by different doctors, it is necessary to have a consultation to determine the legitimacy of their combined use or possible changes in their use.
If the drugs have been prescribed for simultaneous use by the same specialist, the dosage instructions should be strictly followed.
