Your child has diarrhoea while taking Broncho-Vaxom - what can be done to improve the situation?

Dear all,

At the beginning of the year I gave to my son 3 doses of Broncho Vaxom and he had the most common reaction mentioned (diarhea), back then he was 1 year and 10 months old. I wish to start again now, he is 2 years and 7 months now. Can you please advise me how to proceed to prevent the reactions, any special diet or to add some probiotic. Any advise will be helpful.
Thank you!

Tell your doctor if you experience side effects during your previous treatment with Broncho-Vaxom. Perhaps a child a year older will tolerate treatment with this drug better, but there is still a risk of gastrointestinal disorders. Severe diarrhoea may be a contraindication to the administration of Broncho-Vaxom. In the case of persistent ailments, you should see a pediatrician. During the treatment, the child can be given a probiotic (and electrolytes - in the case of intense diarrhoea). The diet should be adapted to the needs of a small child - easy to digest and gentle (due to intestinal disorders).
