Is it possible to import tranylcypromine (TCP) in the targeted import procedure?

Is it possible to import TCP in the target import procedure? This is the case when the medicinal substance is not registered in Poland – is the procedure then different (difficult) than in the case of targeted import of substances that are registered but unavailable or whose marketing authorisation has expired?

Yes, it is possible to import tranylcypromine (TCP) as part of targeted import. It is important for the doctor to carefully justify the lack of effective therapeutic alternatives available in Poland.
