Acute bronchitis should be treated under medical supervision due to the risk of exacerbation and development of pneumonia. Usually, severe and prolonged respiratory infections must be treated with prescription preparations (depending on the need - antibiotics, inhaled steroids, strong secretion thinners).
Over-the-counter medications will have a supportive effect. Depending on the needs, the following can be used:
- expectorant preparations (do not take in the evening), e.g. Mucosolvan, Phlegamina, ACC, Erdomed Muko https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50558/mucosolvan-syrop/apteki
- cough suppressants (not to be combined with expectorants), e.g. Levopront, Supremin, Thiocodin

- anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic drugs, e.g. Ibuprom, Nurofen
- remedies for sore throat and irritation, e.g. Orofar, Gardvit Olive, Gelovox
- inhalation preparations (saline, salt with ectoine, concentrated salt)
- nasal sprays to facilitate breathing, e.g. Otrivin, Nasivin (do not use for more than 5 days)
- essential oils that facilitate breathing (e.g. Olbas Oil, Aromactiv patches)
On our website, you can check the availability of the above products and place an order with collection at the pharmacy or home delivery.
