Good morning
The doctor prescribed me trittico xr in the evening and pregabalin x2 a day, due to the contradictory information I hear. How to use drugs to avoid interactions between these drugs? Can any dangerous occur?

Pregabalin and Trittico (trazodone) can be combined if your doctor so recommends, however, their concomitant use requires special attention. Both of these drugs act on the central nervous system and can cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness or impaired concentration, especially at the beginning of treatment or when changing the dose.
The risk of side effects can be minimized by:
- gradual increase of doses, i.e. if you are just starting treatment, your doctor will choose lower doses, which will be gradually increased if necessary, and the drug will be well tolerated,
- taking Trittico in the evening, as it can increase drowsiness,
- regularly observe how the body reacts to the combination of these drugs and if you experience increased side effects, such as excessive sleepiness, dizziness or problems with concentration, you should consult your attending physician,
- avoiding other substances that may cause similar side effects (i.e. drowsiness, concentration disorders), e.g. alcohol.
In conclusion, combining Pregabalin with Trittico is typically safe and often recommended by doctors. To minimize the risk of side effects, you should follow the dosage prescribed by your doctor.
