Because of its structure similar to amphetamines, the bupropion in Wellbutrin affects the results of some rapid urine drug tests. After taking the drug, narcotic tests (especially for amphetamine derivatives) may give false positive results. If necessary, the test result would have to be confirmed by other, more specific methods.
