Do I need to wait 12 hours between the last dose of Taromentin and the first dose of Sumamed, or can I take Sumamed right away?

I took Taromentin 875 mg+125 mg x 2 times a day for a week. Unfortunately, he did not help. I have now been given Sumamed 500 mg tabl. x 1 time a day. I don't know if I understood the doctor's recommendation correctly, but I understood that I could take the first dose of Sumamed regardless of when I took the last dose of Taromentin. And that's why my question is whether I have to wait at least 12 hours when changing these antibiotics.

If you switch from Taromentin (a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid) to Sumamed (azithromycin), you do not need to wait a certain amount of time before taking a new medicine.

If your doctor has advised you to change your antibiotic, you can take a new medication without having to wait 12 hours after the last dose of the previous one. Sumamed has different pharmacokinetics and is used in a different way than Taromentin, which means that there should be no interaction between the two drugs in the context of taking them in close succession.
