Can I drink alcohol 7 days after discontinuing Ranmet XR?

I used Ranmet Xr 500mg. Because of the fact that I got an allergy, I had to stop taking it after 5 months. I took 1 tabket a night. Can I go to a party 7 days after stopping the drug and drink alcohol normally? Parties at my place are sporadic. But they do happen. What to do in such a situation?
