Proton pump inhibitors are effective in the treatment of stomach ailments, their effect on the intestines is very limited. Reducing the acidity of the stomach can, of course, affect the intestinal microflora and sometimes cause changes in bowel function, such as diarrhea or constipation, but with your ailments, I would recommend antispasmodics (no-spa) or preparations that improve bowel function (e.g. lactulose, fiber).
