Hello, I've been using Mounjaro for 8 weeks - I'm currently finishing 5mg - I'm on a diet, etc. - and the weight hasn't budged - I have insulin resistance - when I read the opinions of others, after 2 months people lose about 10-15 kg - is it possible that the drug doesn't work for me at all?

Combining Mounjaro with a reduction in calories and physical activity results in a permanent and clinically relevant weight loss.
Clinical trials were conducted for 72 weeks (about 1.5 years). After 72 weeks of using the drug at a dose of 5 mg, an average weight loss of about 16 kg was achieved. The first effects were visible after the 1st injection.
If you think that the effect of the drug is too weak, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. You can also take advantage of teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-diabetologiem
The effects depend, m.in on the diet and physical activity introduced. I encourage you to take advantage of the advice of a dietician who will create a menu suitable for you:

To @Magda:
Yes, some patients may experience less common side effects, such as feeling weak or feeling too cold, this may be due to changes in metabolism or weight loss. It's also a good idea to check your iron, vitamin B12, and thyroid hormone levels, as deficiencies can cause similar symptoms. It's good that the effects are gradual – it's usually safer for the body.
If the symptoms worsen or are bothersome, it is worth consulting your attending physician. I encourage you to report the symptoms you experience to your doctor, as well as to report the occurrence of an adverse effect of the preparation. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:

Do you have side effects after taking the drug, but not the ones they write about in the leaflet, i.e. nausea, diarrhea, etc.?
I feel very weak and I am constantly cold, has anyone had the same experience? I have been using the drug for 8 months and I am losing weight very slowly, about 2 kg per month. But it also has its good sides.
I've been taking the drug for the 8th day. I'm 170 cm tall and from 74.6 to 72.4. I'm shocked and I don't hide that I'm afraid of the yo-yo effect.
The drug has suppressed my appetite and I am very careful to eat at least 3 wholesome meals. I also drink a lot of water. I don't exercise.
The doctor said that the real effect would be after the second pen. So stick around, don't give up your diet and drink plenty of water and the results will come!
You need to be in a calorie deficit and change your eating habits. Then you will lose weight no matter what. Even without the drug - but I needed it. This drug does not magically lose weight. It makes you feel no hunger and you can start eating wisely. I know what I'm talking about, because after 32 weeks on mounjaro I lost 36 kg (from significant obesity). But I only eat vegetables, fruit, white meat and fish. I excluded additional carbohydrates. I consume about 1200 - 1500 kcal a day. It is impossible not to lose weight on such a diet. Mounjaro only helped me fight hunger and learn a new way of eating to withstand it.
8 weeks of injections plus 4 kilos.
On Ozempicu I lost 35 kg, on Mounjaro I gained 4 kg in 4 weeks
I take the second dose of Mounjaro 2.5mg and 3 kg less.
I took a dose of 0.25 for 8 weeks, I lost 3 kg, already 4 weeks by 0.5 and another 2 kg was gone. And I take 300 grams-500 Grams per week.
Weight loss after using the drug for 6 months by 25 kg, without any diets and physical exercise (sports activity) - I recommend
After 24 weeks of using the drug, the decrease in kerosene is from 99 kg to 72 kg, i.e. by 27 kg
No, it is not possible that the drug is not working. Start drinking more water, up to 3l a day. Add as much movement as you can, but a movement in which you are at least out of breath and tired. If you are hungry, increase the dose.
