Hello
Since last week Monday to Sunday I have been taking antibiotics (7 days) and on Wednesdays I got a bleeding while taking them. I have been taking the pill Maxim in a long-term cycle for several years without breaks, even while taking antibiotics!
Today (after 9 days) I am still bleeding.
Should I take it to the doctor?
When is contraceptive protection restored after the antibiotic is no longer taken?

Bleeding during antibiotic use, especially with long-term use of contraception, can be the result of a number of factors, including drug interactions or irritation of the lining of the uterus. If bleeding persists for more than 9 days after the end of antibiotic therapy, I encourage you to consult your doctor to rule out other potential causes. For most antibiotics, contraceptive protection should be maintained, but it is worth discussing this with your doctor to be fully sure of the effectiveness of contraception.
