Yes, Ranisilver can be used on the wound, but it must be thoroughly cleaned with hydrogen peroxide or Octenisept spray, perhaps the unpleasant smell is due to insufficient cleaning of the wound surface. Ranisilver contains silver salt of sulfadiazine acid, which has antibacterial properties. If the wound is deep, severely infected, or does not heal at the expected rate - consult a doctor.
