Hello, I have been taking Bactrim for almost 3 weeks and Neomycin for 2 weeks. I noticed that my teeth had turned yellow, even gray. 1. Could this be the result of taking these antibiotics?
2. Should antibiotic therapy be discontinued in this case?
3. Is it reversible? Is there a chance to restore the color of the enamel?

The characteristics of Bactrim medicinal products and preparations with neomycin do not mention enamel discoloration among the observed adverse drug reactions.
However, I have been able to find reports of enamel and tongue staining in people using sulfomethoxazole with trimethoprim (the active ingredients in Bactrim). These were described by the Dutch Pharmacovigilance Centre Lareb, which received 13 reports of tooth discolouration and 24 reports of tongue staining after the use of these substances. In most of the described cases, the enamel discolouration disappeared after the end of treatment with the drug.
Use the medication for the time prescribed by your doctor. If in doubt, consult a specialist.
A good way to reduce discoloration may be to use toothpastes designed for this purpose, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/26639/elgydium-brilliance-care-pasta-do-zebow/apteki/w-warszawie, https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/12223/blanx-med-biale-zeby-anty-osad-pasta-do-zebow/apteki/w-warszawie.
If the discoloration persists, dental cleaning may be necessary.
