There is no clear evidence that the chondroitin in Cartexan is dangerous for people who have had a heart attack, but research on its effects on the cardiovascular system is limited. Cartexan is therefore not directly contraindicated after a heart attack, but people who have experienced such an event should always consult a cardiologist before starting any new supplementation. I would also recommend this procedure to you. If the drug was prescribed by a doctor who was aware of your heart attack in the past - use the product as prescribed.
