Why did Oekolp cream stop working and can I use oral treatment?

I was prescribed Oekolp 1 year ago. At first, I used the ointment daily. The symptoms improved within 3 weeks. For 8 weeks I have had to use the cream daily again. Why is that? Is there a better way to take it orally? Thanks for an insightful answer.

If Oekolp cream has been recommended for the treatment of lesions caused by estrogen deficiency and its effect is insufficient, the possibility of introducing oral treatment (HRT - hormone replacement therapy) can be discussed with your doctor, unless there are contraindications to such treatment.

Recommendations for using Oekolp cream:

"Treatment of atrophic lesions within the genital organs:

Usually 0.5 g of OEKOLP cream is used daily for a period of 3 weeks. After this time,
A maintenance dose of 0.5 g of cream per day applied once or twice is usually effective times a week. "

It is worth remembering that there are a number of contraindications to the use of HRT and not every patient can benefit from hormonal treatment.
