Can Primolut-Nor used to reduce hemorrhagic menstrual bleeding have the opposite effect?

Can Primolut-Nor used from the 16th day of the cycle for 10 days to reduce haemorrhagic menstrual bleeding have the opposite effect? The first time I took it at a dose of 5 mg a day, during the next cycle I increased it to 7.5 mg. The doctor said that you can increase the dose to 10 mg, but I can see that the higher the dose, the worse it is.

Increasing the dose of Primolut-Nor may lead to increased menstrual bleeding, which is a common side effect described.
