Zahron is a drug that contains rosuvastatin, which is a statin used to lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Like other statins, rosuvastatin can affect liver enzyme levels, including alanine aminotransferase (ALT).
Elevation of ALT levels is one of the potential side effects of statins, including rosuvastatin. In clinical practice, it is recommended to monitor liver function through regular blood tests, including ALT levels, before and during rosuvastatin therapy.
