Rybelsus is a prescription drug, so a doctor should decide whether to use it in your case.
This medicine contains semaglutide and, according to the leaflet, is indicated for use in adult patients (aged 18 years and over) when diet and exercise alone is not sufficient. Semaglutide works by decreasing blood glucose levels (in a glucose-dependent manner) by stimulating insulin secretion and reducing glucagon secretion when blood glucose levels are high.
You should consult a doctor who, based on clinical experience and full information about your health, will recommend appropriate treatment. The key is to take care of proper eating habits and physical activity. If necessary, your doctor may recommend off-label medication. A drug often used off-label for insulin resistance is, for example, metformin, but your doctor may also recommend the use of other drugs, including Rybelsus.
