Cytisine (Desmoxan) is a medication used to support smoking cessation therapy. It works by stimulating nicotine receptors in the brain, which helps reduce nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and other psychiatric disorders. It works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain.
There are currently no well-documented direct interactions between cytisine and sertraline, however, both drugs affect the nervous system, which requires caution when used. It would be good to keep at least 1-2 hours between preparations.
