Duexon is a preparation containing salmeterol and fluticasone, Formodual contains formoterol and beclamethasone. Both salmeterol and formoterol are long-acting selective beta2-adrenergic agonists. These substances cause long-lasting bronchodilation for up to 12 hours. Fluticasone and beclamamethasone are anti-inflammatory corticosteroids.
It is not recommended to use two drugs containing substances from the same groups at the same time, as this increases the risk of side effects.
