I've been using the Calmona ankle pessary for a year and a half now. I admit that it is helpful, but recently I have problems with putting it on and I came to the conclusion that pessaries should be sold together with applicators. In addition, I noticed that despite using the pessary, I started to experience urinary incontinence. Does this mean that the pessary does not fulfill its task, or does it mean that the reason is to be sought elsewhere?

Difficulties with the placement of the Calmon ankle pessary are common and may require consultation with a gynecologist to optimize the technique or to consider a different type of pessary.
The appearance of symptoms of urinary incontinence despite the use of a pessary may suggest an inappropriate size, incorrect location or progression of the disease. A medical re-evaluation is necessary to verify the fit of the pessary and to diagnose the causes of urinary incontinence.
