Hello, I am about to take two Mucosolvan pills 2 times a day. How long should the hour interval between doses be? For example, if it is the first time that a pill is taken at 1:00 p.m., can the next dose be at 5:00 p.m.?

There are no specific guidelines for the interval between doses of Mucosolvan. Maximum plasma concentrations are reached rapidly (within 1-2.5 hours) after administration. In my opinion, a break of 4 hours should be sufficient, although I would recommend taking the first dose a little earlier to prolong the expectorant effect of the drug during the day.
It is important that the last dose is taken at least 4 hours before going to bed, as this drug has an expectorant effect and can intensify coughing, which in turn can make it difficult to fall asleep.
