The use of Metafen with Avamine SR requires caution. Metafen contains paracetamol and ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Concomitant use of NSAIDs with metformin (Avamina SR) may have adverse effects on renal function, which may increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Therefore, if the use of Metafen is not necessary, it is worth taking a painkiller containing only paracetamol, e.g. Apap https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/5684/apap-tabletki-powlekane/apteki, Aurovitas https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/101028/paracetamol-aurovitas-tabletki/apteki. NSAIDs should be used with caution in patients treated with metformin and should have their renal function monitored regularly.
