I strongly advise against alcohol consumption during Amitriptyline therapy. Alcohol may increase the sedative effect of the drug, increasing the risk of excessive sleepiness and impaired coordination. In addition, this interaction may lead to increased adverse effects on the cardiovascular and central nervous systems. To ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment, complete abstinence from alcohol while taking Amitriptyline is recommended.
