It is not recommended to use the Xtra Slim supplement 24 for people with Hashimoto's disease without first consulting an endocrinologist.
In the treatment of Hashimoto's disease, any change in therapy or supplementation should be consulted with the attending physician. Weight loss supplements may contain ingredients that affect thyroid function or interact with medications used to treat Hashimoto's.
A safer and more effective method of weight reduction for patients with this disease is the introduction of a balanced diet, regular physical activity and close monitoring of the treatment of the underlying thyroid disease.
If you need support in weight reduction, the National Health Fund has recently also reimbursed visits to a dietician. We wrote more about it here:
