Yes. Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. In rare cases, it may cause liver-related side effects, such as jaundice. Jaundice is manifested by a yellow discoloration of the skin and whites of the eyes (the so-called yellow eyeballs), which is the result of excessive bilirubin levels in the blood.
If you notice yellow colouring of your eyes after taking clarithromycin, this is a potentially serious symptom and you should contact your doctor immediately. Jaundice can indicate liver problems that require immediate medical attention.
