Can I use PPIs 20 mg twice a day for Helicobacter pylori eradication if the recommended dose in the leaflet is one tablet?
9.99 zł

Hello. The doctor recommended the use of PPI 20 mg 2x1 tabl during the treatment against helicobacter pylori. The leaflet says that you should not exceed the daily dose of 20 mg. I don't know what to think about it. Please advise.

According to current guidelines, a drug with a proton pump inhibitor (e.g. PPI 20 mg) is used twice a day for Helicobacter pylori eradication, so there is no reason to worry. The doctor, due to the information he has about your health condition, the type and course of the disease and the current treatment guidelines, may recommend a different dosage of a given drug than in the leaflet. Please follow his recommendations.
