Proktosedone is a preparation containing hydrocortisone, esculine, cinchocaine and neomycin. It is not recommended to use suppositories with drugs that inhibit the activity of the CYP3A4 enzyme, these are Itrax. This combination may increase the risk of systemic side effects. Combination drugs should be avoided unless the benefit outweighs the increased risk of systemic adverse reactions associated with glucocorticoids (hydrocotisone is a glucocorticoid).
If the use of Proctosedone, Itrax, Travogen and Pyrrolam has not been ordered by one doctor or doctors informed about all the preparations taken, it is worth choosing suppositories that do not contain glucocorticoids.
