Meteospasmyl is a drug used mainly to treat symptoms of intestinal disorders such as bloating, abdominal pain or intestinal cramps. It consists of two active substances: alverine and simethicone. Alverine has a relaxant effect on the smooth muscles of the intestines, while simethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the digestive tract, which facilitates their dispersal and absorption.
While Meteospasmyl may provide relief from gastrointestinal discomfort, it is not specifically intended to treat liver disease. Its action is mainly focused on intestinal and stomach symptoms.
