To @Biscotte:

When discontinuing Subutex (buprenorphine) 2 mg, special caution should be exercised when considering codeine. Codeine, which is an opioid, may interact with buprenorphine, which increases the risk of respiratory depression and other serious side effects. Both drugs act on the central nervous system, which can lead to increased sedative effects and an increased risk of addiction.

I encourage you to consult your doctor again before starting codeine.

Subutex is a preparation containing buprenorphine. Concomitant use of buprenorphine with codeine may lead to an increase in the depressive effect of these substances on the central nervous system, manifested by, m.in respiratory depression. This drug combination is not recommended. If it is necessary to use both substances at the same time, it should be done with caution, under the supervision of a doctor.
