Does Ryeqo make lipedema worse?

Hello, I have been taking Ryeqo for almost 6 months and I am afraid that my lipedema will get worse since then. Can that be?
Thank you very much and best regards!

To @Question:

Ryeqo (a preparation containing a combination of relugolix, estradiol and norethisterone) is used to treat endometriosis and can affect the menstrual cycle. Abruptly stopping this medication after a short period of time may affect your period, but how exactly – it can depend on a number of factors, such as your individual hormones and health.

After stopping the use of the drug, irregularities in the menstrual cycle may occur. This can include a delayed period, changes in bleeding intensity, etc. You may also experience withdrawal symptoms such as mood swings, headaches, or changes in appetite.

Because you have experienced heart problems and high blood pressure, these problems may continue for some time after you stop taking the medication. It's a good idea to monitor your blood pressure and cardiac symptoms and consult your doctor if necessary.

If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:

There is no evidence that Ryeqo can increase lipedema.

Lipoedema is a chronic disease of adipose tissue that progresses with age and is mainly related to the action of female hormones, not to the use of medications.
Lipedema is characterized by a disproportionate increase in adipose tissue mainly on the legs and arms, is painful, causes bruising easily and intensifies during the day. However, it is not a classic swelling, but rather excessive growth of adipose tissue, which does not disappear after a change in diet.

Since lipoedema has a hormonal and genetic basis, and is not a side effect of taking medication, it can be assumed that Ryeqo should not exacerbate this condition. However, if the symptoms worsen while using the drug, it is worth consulting a doctor to determine the cause and possibly change the treatment.
