Yes, after using Oekolp cream or globules, you may experience a burning or irritating sensation in the vaginal area. This happens for the following reasons:

The active ingredient estriol may cause temporary irritation of the mucous membranes in some women. This can occur especially at the beginning of treatment.
Vaginal ointments/creams contain other excipients that some patients may be sensitive to and that may cause irritation.

In the case of dry, atrophic vaginal mucosa, the preparations may initially cause irritation, until the mucous membrane regenerates due to the action of estrogens.

In rare cases, intolerance or hypersensitivity to the ingredients may occur. Irritation and burning sensation are usually temporary and usually subside as treatment continues. However, if severe symptoms persist, you should consult your doctor.
