To minimize these side effects, it is recommended to take Lorazepam with food and avoid alcohol. If eating problems persist, you should consult your doctor.
Lorazepam may cause appetite and digestive disorders as side effects.
Lorazepam's mechanism of action is to increase the activity of the neurotransmitter GABA in the brain, which leads to sedation and relaxation. However, this effect can also affect the functioning of the digestive system, causing, m.in. decreased appetite and satiety, delayed gastric emptying and slowing of intestinal peristalsis, nausea, vomiting and dry mouth.
The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book the medicine at a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it after presenting a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/44855/lorafen-drazetki/apteki
The dose you are taking exceeds the maximum dose recommended by the manufacturer (10mg/day). The use of high doses of benzodiazepines carries the risk of dependence, tolerance and other serious side effects. It's a good idea to talk to your doctor about safe practices and potential alternatives. If it is not possible to visit the site, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-psychiatra
