Is the F32 code sufficient recognition for a Brintellix refund? Does a doctor's certificate with this disease code allow the GP to issue a prescription with reimbursement?

A mere diagnosis of a disease entity classified as F.32 (depressive disorder) may not be enough to obtain a discounted prescription for Brintellix. The reimbursement indications of Brintellix are more precise - not knowing the medical history and treatment, I am not able to answer whether the drug can be prescribed with reimbursement in the described case (I suggest discussing this issue with a psychiatrist).
Reimbursement indications:
"Payment 30% - PLN 53.11
Treatment of major depressive episodes in adults who have not improved in the treatment of the current episode despite the use of a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor or a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor."
Your GP should receive your medical history and treatment from a specialist clinic in order to be able to issue reimbursable prescriptions on this basis.
