The description of the gastroscopy test indicates inflammation of the stomach and duodenum.
A sample of the mucous membrane is taken for histopathological examination in order to assess lesions, m.in. mucositis, benign tumors – polyps, ulcers, cancer or neuroendocrine tumors. Taking samples also makes it possible to carry out therapeutic treatment.
